Actor Bisley denies assaulting ex-wife

Mad Max actor Steve Bisley has pleaded not guilty to assaulting his ex-wife at a Sydney home.

Bisley, also known for a his role on the Nine Network series Sea Patrol, entered his plea during a brief appearance at Balmain Local Court this morning

He is accused of assaulting Sally Burleigh on the evening of September 6.

The couple wed in 2000 and have two young children.

The matter is due to go to trial at Downing Centre Local Court on December 2.

Sad truth being anyone of fame, nothing stays below the radar. I believe this is a personal thing, and lord knows what really went on without being a close personal friend / witness.

When I hear "ex-wife" and "assault" in one sentence it usually means a little inappropriate physical contact being blown out of proportion. Honestly, I really don't care about things like this unless the (former) significant other has been beaten significantly (split lip, black eye, that sort of thing).
