On the 16th Adrian and me were meeting up with Ian Mitchell (he was unit runner in MM2) to get up to the Pinnacles.
After we got permission from the mining company we made our way to the 'main' Pinnacle.
Quite at the base of it Ian were showing me the spot where Max & the Gyro Captain
where watching the Marauders attack(where Wez pinned Nathan to the buggy).
At early evening Chris from the Silverton Pub asked me, if i would like to take his car
up to the Mundi Mundi Lookout, to catch the sunset.
How could i say no? It was really amazing to drive the Falcon up there!
The last photo needs a bit of explanation.
Some tourists broke the door handle on the drivers side on Chris's Falcon.
No big problem, because you still have the other side...
After we took some photos, i drove the Falcon to the other side of the road (where the sign is)
to make some more photos there.
When we wanted to leave, the other door wont open! Door lock was still up....
Well, what happened was, that the plastic 'connector' came off the upper door lock mechanism.
Old plastic tend to harden with time, so a piece of the plastic nose which clips in the hole of the door handle just broke.
Very fortunately Adi has a Next G phone, so he could call for assistance!
Chris came to the rescue, but we couldn't get in (with a metal rod/wire).
He headed back home, to get a longer rod with a hook, to get between the windows (there was a gap) to reach the handle on the other side.
Just when he came back, a friend of him managed to open the door!
He was able to get under the remained tiny piece of the broken handle and was able to pull it, so the door opened.
Haha, what an adventure!
Later Chris handed me over the metal wire, the 'key' to the interceptor... Heh, a nice souvenir... I always have to smile when i watch at it!
