If max needed to store more fuel, and found some extra gas cans in the wasteland, what is the proper way that he might clean them? They might have had diesel in them.

That shouldn't matter. The fuel filter on the Interceptor should easily be able to handle any trace amounts of diesel, or just about any other liquid.

he wouldnt bother ,very small amunts of diesel ,or oil wont afect it at all,iv done it
