Re: Mini Reunion- Screening Sydney 31st January
I would like to express my appreciation to Nelson & Peter for a great afternoon of Mad Max mania. From the time I actually arrived at the event to the finish, I met so many celebarities in such a short period of time. It was great to meet Grant Page, Dale Bensch, Nic Gazzana, Chris Murray and Emil minty. They were all to happy to stand around and talk Mad Max to all the fans and sign autographs. It was also good to see Grant behind the wheel again, plenty of photo opportunities. Seeing Mad Max again on the big screen was fantastic, not only with the fans but with the cast and crew members as well made it such a memorable afternoon. For all those who attended would have to agree, that this was very worthwhile event, especially for me as I met fellow fans, Dirk ( cueball), scummy and Tim ridge. I can't wait to see Tim's finished DVD, if it is anything like the trailer we seen it is going to be a big hit.

Now that the dust has settled on the Screening I'd like to thank everyone who came along ... most of whom I got to chat with afterward. Anyone I missed well we'll have to chat at the next screening which is looking like being Running on Empty.
A huge thanks to Nelson who not only planted the seed but put in a massive effort getting his car there and helping with the logistics of promotion, regitration and the day itself.
It would have been a pretty one dimensional experience without the partcipation of Grant Page, Dale Bensch, Nic Gazzana and Chris Murray whose generosity in both attending and answering questions made the day.
Big thanks too to Dirk who battled jettlag and the language barrier to attend and to Emile. At one stage we were at the pub having a chat when a prominant Oz Director wandered over with a DoP ... they'd just been to a screening of the DoP's latest $25m Bollywood epic apparently to say hi to me. But no ... it turned out they were just hoping I'd introduce them to the Feral Kid!
I'd also like to acknowlege Tim Ridge for offering to screen the teaser to his forthcoming DVD 'The Madness of Max" which looks fabulous.
There are more pics on the way as I was too busy on the day but here are a couple more ...
Punters line up to join the MFP

Punter with the Toecutter

Nic, Grant, Dale and Chris chat about the making of the film ... Dale's helmt worn in the film up front

Even the Goose fronted ...

Sorry but that pic was among those sent to me by a punter and I couldn't resist.
Thanks again to all who made it such a teriffic day.
Pete
