Summernats 2009

Post by toecutter »

Quite a few very nice 2 door coupes this year. The silver with black accents was my fave, but the rear needed to be raised a few inches.

No BOB replicas this year.

Crowd numbers were down, but car entrant numbers up. 1300 modified cars I recall. Incl 4 mightyboys, one with an LS1 V8.

if anyone wants photos let me know and i will post some.

Why do some people put those massive 18 or 20in rims on an old classic cars???

The charger looks horrid because of those rims. Absolute waste of money and does nothing in terms of style.... yaark!

I agree about the large diameter rims, such a pity how they have more or less been forced on us as the good ole 14 and 15 inch wheels and tyres are getting scarce. too many people tend to follow trends. I'm not saying all large diameter wheels look bad, i just thing there is nothing worse than a standard looking 60's or 70's holden with the biggest, shiniest wheels just because the next guy has 'em.

then on a different note, so many people hate the mad max replica thing :) ;)

Dan
...sorta slow motion. he leaves the seat, goes through the windscreen, headfirst straight into the tree...right. and then, bounces back through the windscreen. by the time we got to him.. he was just sittin there trying to scream with his face ripped off......whats the matter?
