Another techie thread question--

Post by Redd4 »

I am wondering why, if you're viewing the entire "Off-Topic" thread list, one of the set of little lines in the little circles, next to the title of the thread itself, is 'scrolling', while all the rest are just normal, still little lines.
At the moment, for me, the thread this is happening in is ydx7's beer thread. It doesn't seem to be number of replies, the same thing happens on Max_Van's "Mad Max Movie Myths" thread on the General Discussion board.
Have any of you noticed this, and do you know why this is?

I believe that it is a thread to which you have contributed.

The scrolling newspaper indicates "hot topics":

"shows the top five topics with the most replies today"

Looking at the recent posts list, there are currently 5 with the scrolling lines / scrolling newspaper icon, and they're the top 5 with the most replies...

Thanks, Peter. One less thing for my over-taxed, under-sized brain to dwell on..
