It's a remake of the old mid 1970's series about a survivors after a world wide pandemic and damn good it is too. Sadly no speeding car chases after a tanker filled with sand, nor toasting cops in an overturned ute, nor does it have Tina Turner in it.
It's based on the book by Terry Nation, a good read if you can get hold of a copy.

Makes for some serious "what if" type thinking when I'm trying to get to sleep instead LOL! It's even got my girlfriend thinking what if type scenarios too! That was a biiig surprise, normally she thinks such programmes are just "silly". She said she already worked out where she could bury my body. Should I be worried? My planning was based upon me being one of the survivors, not a bloody victim!!
However any planning before the s**t hits the fan can't be a bad thing eh?
Anyway I'm enjoying the series so far, hope it delivers more of the same and doesn't descend into farce like a lot of these series tend to do.

Re: Survivors, new TV series on BBC1
Been watching it mate...and im not really one for watching serials or dramas, but its addictive stuff.thought the most recent episode had a touch of Mad Max 2 about it,with the people trying to survive in the compound, but then again, that might have been part of the original series.great stuff all the same.
