Re: hardtop prices
what parts are you after, I have a couple of bonnets(non gs,gt) fairly good door, and a sunroof I removed from mine..
Soon as I work out how to add photos I will post my beginnings in the other thread as they both look very similar, and cueball is still waiting for the snaps...not long now.

The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take you ten minutes to hack through it with this, now if your lucky ? you can hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go !

Re: hardtop prices
Ya the problem here in the states is everybodys watching the barett-Jackson car auctions and people think there cars are worth the 100-200,000 there getting for them. The thing is there not paying attention to the fact that the cars sold are #'s matching origanals or exact high dollar clone cars!! They think overhere that there blue 69 6cyl or 302 mustang fastback or coupe is rare because they saw a blue 69 Boss 429 Fastback mustang the same year as theres go for $200,000!!! I can see original XA-XB GT sedan or coupes fetching some good jam ,especialy because of there low build #s, but a regular rusty Falcon coupe/sedan 500's should be average priced for daily drivers and max car clones!!

Re: hardtop prices
hi guys,
was reading and found this subject very interesting.
I think the prices of coupes are high and i believe they will only increase as they get older. Im no baby boomer and just a dozer driver. I have 2 coupes, a xa which is now a almost finshed MM1 replica and I have a landau coupe which Im painting gloss black this week. Im also now looking for a hq coupe to build a knightrider replica as well.
Ive paid cash for all my cars and has almost got me divorced i dont know how many times lol
I suppose people have different priorites and different circumstances. Im lucky as i dont have a big morgage, but my incentive to work overtime is to have these cars for wedding hire and to top up my super when im to old to enjoy the cars anymore (hope i live to 100)
Anyway enough of my life story, I cant see how these people can afford paying 30grand for a coupe, have a big morgage and live in the city. I know the government gives to many hand outs these days, but no one would give them credit on a car of that age.
I suppose in my case i hope the value keeps going up, but as you guys know the price of spares parts will only increase also.
I do have some spare parts if you are chasing a few things.
I dont write to many posts but keep an eye out and ill post some pics of my 2 coupes and hopefully a knightrider replica also

Re: hardtop prices
The other thing i did want to add was that i drive my cars(about to) one to show them off, two just to have conversations with people who come and and have so much interest it the cars. I sold my hj one tonner, with a weiand 6/71 blower and a 350 chev to buy my landau. That car was a head turner and she sounded so sweeeet, but it will only ever be a one tonner. The coupes which are an australian icon will only ever go up in value, where as the tonner will never go up in value. While ever the gt's go up in value i assume standard coupes will also rise. As we know a landau coupe was $2000 more to buy then a gt, same running gear but a landau has no where near the value. I was always a ford fan till they stopped making the coupes and now im so happy to have 2 of them. I will post some photos shortly and value anyones comments and or questions. I wouldnt mind going on some ford runs if anyone wants to contact me.
cheers
