Dunno how wide YOU are, but at 5'11", 235 pounds, I fit in the Driver seat with room to spare. ;)
(J/K!)

I've also been pestering everyone I bump into that has one.. and every last one Loves the hell out of the '98-'01's.. They don't Break.

Seriously, though, Sometimes folks just get to a point in their life where they have to Put away the toy cars and get a family car.

If I had the dosh, You can bet vital portions of your anatomy that I'd Have a selection of cars including, but not limited to a big ol' black, V-8 powered coupe that gets crappy mileage and steers like a cow. ;)
(And just to piss people off, I'd do it Incorrectly)

Unfortunately right now I can have one car for me and one for the Missus.

The Newer XJ's have the room, Mileage, durability & reliability I require And have a healthy pile of goodies available so I can toughen it up further as I can afford.

Doesn't matter at the moment anyway, 'Cos I'm Now in Waiting Mode anyway (waiting for the next one to come along).
Transmission on that one got Sold while I was Deciding on it.

Rest in Pieces, Little Maroon Jeep.

One more..

I've expanded my search to a few other models, and haven't come up with anything that I liked.. Then my dad came up with "A car that would be perfect for you"
A bright red 2005 Chrysler Pacifica.
25K miles, Leather interior, DVD Player.
It has only minor damage and he'd let me have it for $50 over what the shop payed for it - $1700!

It's Nice, Really, it is!
But I don't like it.

What I DO like is the 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 4.0 liter, Auto 4WD that just came in Thursday..

Paperwork says it's got 74K miles and it's an easy fix.
Needs a fender, bumper, windshield and a score of little pieces.
Oh, and tires.

It wouldn't have been the first color I'd choose, (Indigo) but it's better than Lipstick Red.
The only way it could be MORE Ideal is if it were Green, a Two-Door and an '01 model.

Well, It's sitting in my Driveway, now.

I'll be doing most of the repairs myself as I get the parts.
Except for the windshield. (I don't have the equipment for That)
