I heard last nite,it was a damn shocker.I didn't dig his billet wheels and gold chainer style hot rods but he def. was an innovator in the Hot Rodding world. R.I.P Boyd

As a big fan of American Hotrod it saddens me heaps. :(

Rip Mr Coddington.

Mabey the Discovery Chanel will do a tribute show....

...sorta slow motion. he leaves the seat, goes through the windscreen, headfirst straight into the tree...right. and then, bounces back through the windscreen. by the time we got to him.. he was just sittin there trying to scream with his face ripped off......whats the matter?

Wow... that's a shame.

Comes as a complete shock to me. Although my taste run a different path I have nothing but respect for his style and innovation. Chip Foose came up through Boyd's garage.
This will mark the passing of an era.

1st thought was "you've got to be joking"
2nd thought was..."If he was murdered...the list of suspects would be a long one"!

We lost another hotrodding pioneer. Someone I could identify with a little more than Boyd.

Hot rodding and racing lost one of its luminaries Sunday, March 2nd, when "Lil John" Buttera passed away at the age of 67.

I've always heard they go in 3s. All were in their mid 60s.
Tragedy struck Saturday at Auto Club Famoso Raceway when nostalgia Top Fuel racer John Shoemaker was killed in a high-speed crash.
