Ideas for Max Mad video game
OK you guys, ever since that moron posted the false message about a MM video game I have been thinking of ideas for one. The overall gameplay would be much like Driver for playstation. I was very impressed with the "physics" of that game; like the way the cars handled and the differences on various terrain. However, one disappointment was the lack of damage to your car. You could get into a head-on collision several times and still keep going, which is quite improbable in real life. For my MM game, I would have your vehicle sustain damage to specific parts, like radiator, steering, suspention, transmition, and finally engine. The damage would correspond to where/how your car was hit. Like, a head-on collision may damage your radiator. Then, you would have to keep an eye on your temperature gauge because you will soon overheat and destroy your engine. (just like in real life.) Or, you hit your car against something and your steering alignment gets screwed up and you have to compensate. Or you bottom out after a big jump and the transmition is damaged, leaving you without 2nd gear. Realism would be extremely important. You may even lose tires and have to drive on your rims. Another important thing would be sound effects. Sorry, but the engine sounds in Driver just sucked. Nothing beats the rumble of a V-8, and my game would stress those awesome sounds. I figure you could play "quest" mode or "mission" mode. Quest would follow the lives of each character/vehicle. So, Max would have to run down Toecutter; and it would be Toecutter's job to try to escape Max. (I'll get into the characters and vehicles in a minute.) In Quest you also have to gain fuel, and fuel economy becomes an issue. In Mission mode, it would be alot like Driver where you have to deliver gas, apprehend a criminal, make a "Big Run" to escape, or just survive a tough stretch of road. There are hunders of possibilities. Now, the vehicles. I figure you could have 15 to choose from: The Interceptor (from MM1 or MM2), the Mack truck, the Lone Wolf, Humungus' 6x6, the red convertible F100, the Landau from MM2, a buggy from MM2, the reb XB, the black F100 wrecker from MM2, a standard MFP Interceptor, Max's truck monster from MM3, Auntie's jet car, Toecutter's bike, Goose's bike, and Wez's bike. I would also consider some kind of weapon play, like Max's shotgun, crossbows, dartguns, whatever. Another big thing I would want in this game are the stats for the vehicles. The stats would be: Engine, torque, horsepower, modifications, 0-60, manuverability, durability, and ramming power. In a notebook I have written down some preliminary stats, but I am unsure of things like torque and horsepower. Anyone? I think Humungus' 6x6 would have a 527ci. I always figured that vehicle had a huge engine to be able to do all those things it did. Ford makes a 527ci, right? Max's truck monster (MM3) would have a 460ci. The engine stats for Auntie's jet car will will be fun to do. So, I think I have some good ideas here. Does anyone have anything to add? Someday when I get the money (and Warner Bros. permission) I will try to make these ideas a reality. See you on the road!

If you can get the licensing permission, you could probably get any game company to start work next week. As far as I know a couple of companies have wanted to do a Mad Max based game, but the licensing rights aren't being made available for whatever reason (probably due to a still pending MM4 possibility), so without those no one can make anything.

.....ROB SAYS---AWESOME IDEAS,GREAT PLANNING,ALL YOU NEED IS A DEVELOPER,AND PERMISSION..HAS ANYONE TRIED TO CONTACT WARNER BROS.???....ALSO,ON YOUR DAMAGE THEORY...WHILE SOME DAMAGE EFFECTS ARE NICE,YOU SHOULD DRIVE GRAN TURISMO 2,BEFORE YOU DECIDE ON THE " AMOUNT " OF DAMAGE...ONE GOOD WRECK,AND ITS ALL OVER TILL YOU CAN "CRAWL",LITERALLY, TO THE PITS..IT IS EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFULL TO " TRY" TO DRIVE AFTER JUST ONE HIT/CRASH....PERHAPS A LIMITED AMOUNT OF DAMAGE,TO WHERE IT IS NOTICABLE,BUT NOT TOTALLED.IE...,SLOWER SPEEDS,FLAT TIRES,FLAT SPOTTED TIRES-SO YOU GO BUMPTIY-BUMPIN ON DOWN THE ROAD.....ALSO,HOW ABOUT THE "ARENA" BATTLES .....( REMEMBER THE NES GAME??),MAYBE WITH CARS,ONE TIME,AND HAND TO HAND COMBAT THE NEXT??THEN YOU COULD WORK ALL YOUR CHARACTERS INTO THE GAME,SOME IN CERTAIN MODES,VEHICLES,AND WEAPONRY..THIS WOULD ENHANCE THE REPLAYABILTY OF THE GAME,AS YOU HAD SEVERAL DIFF. MODES PLANNED...EACH COULD THEORETICALLY BE IN DIFFERENT MOVIE LOCATIONS,TO USE THE WHOLE SERIES OF FILMS,AS YOU SUGGESTED.IF YOU OBTAINED PERMISSION,YOU COULD USE SHORT fmv VIDEO CLIPS FROM THE ORIGINAL MOVIES..NOW,THAT WOULD BE WORTH BUYING,JUST TO WATCH THE CLIPS..." FIRST YOURE CHASING THE TOECUTTER,FOR MILES,THEN YOU FINALLY CATCH HIM(DRIVING LIKE THE PRO YOU ARE)AND THEN MISSION ACOMPLISHED! "..SIT BACK ,GET COMFY,AND WATCH A THIRTY SECOND CLIP OF THE MOVIE,WHEN TOECUTTER "CHECKS OUT" INTO THE SEMI RIG....OH YEAH,I CAN ALMOST SMELL THE RUBBER...ANYWAYS,YOU PROBABLY ALREADY THOUGHT OF ALL THAT,BUT,MAYBE SOME-HOW YOU CAN SEE YOUR IDEA THROUGH...I KNOW I WOULD BUY THE GAME,ESPECIALLY IF ITS MADE BY A FAN,AND NOT SOME CASH COW GAME BANGER,LIKE "THE DUKES OF HAZZARD"..BOY ,WAS THAT A DISSAPOINTMENT...AND A SERIOUS WASTE OF MONEY...AND TIME...HOPING LIKE HELL THAT MM-4 WONT BE TOO LAME..

Un-Licensed Games
The only reason they can is because the games were not for sale. Its used with Klik n' Play.

It's called Interstate '76. It has gearboxes, individual part damage, great physics, etc., etc.
If they put Mad Max cars, and missions, in a modified (newer, better graphics) I76 world, it would be a perfect MM game. Don't get I82, its nothing like I76, all the realism is gone! I82 is more like Twisted Metal, sad to say.
In driver, it kinda sucks because all of the roads are straight, and, in real life, we have curvy roads.
