Bye Bye...
Stick Around Gordy even though yer posts end up ' missing'

Bye Bye...
C'mon Gordon, the place wouldn't be the same without ya!

Aaron
"We'll make it, move over!!!"
Bye Bye...
two points
1. There are not many replica owners/builders who post here so having Gordo here is good
2. If you really dont like him for whatever reason isnt it better to have him here to take shots at rather than not here.
Bye Bye...
After spending three days and night with Murray Smith there a few guys who know more about the actual build of the cars and how they evolved than you can get from watching the dvd one hundred times.
The truth is out there.
Bye Bye...
Nelson, whats going on with Gordon? do you think he will be back? bizzare.
Scott.

Bye Bye...
Gordon Hayes and the words shi*ts and giggles do not belong in the same sentence.
Now the name Sockpuppet and shi* does go hand in hand ...one to the other.
It is after all a Puppet and in this case, one in his own sock.
"Thats what hurts! He's drivin' one of our V8's!!"
Bye Bye...
Last v8-3 this is how I see it, I know as much as anyone else who visits here.
Gordon had a post that was misinterpreted according to him and was deleted. He reacted and it went from there. A couple of newbies appear and the bashing commences. He has enough and bails out.
I certainly hope he comes back. I emailed Gordon before starting my replia build and found him to be a helpful guy. I bought some stuff that he openly accepted were expensive but thats what he wanted for the effort of making the bits. The buyer has the choice.
He is one of the characters of this board and his novel length poetic posts have become legendary. When you see he has posted you get a coffee and get comfortable cause it will be a long read, lol.
Sadly for a variety of reasons his replicas have had some issues. If you read his webpage they are documented there. Whilst of course he must be held responsible, it wasnt his actual work that was the problem but his choice of workers. Who hasnt been ripped by the auto industry.
I am disappointed that he couldnt attend the easternats, he was invited. I think Scott knew how much he would appreciate sitting with Murray talking about the evolution of the interceptor. After spending ages going through the dvd it would have helped the accuracy of his replicas and be very entertaining.
I am sure Gordo is out there somewhere but after a while why would you keep popping your head up to be kicked.

""Gordon had a post that was misinterpreted according to him and was deleted."""
Actually nelson.. to clear things up.... His orginal thread was fine.... but it then turned to politics.... I then explained the rules of the board... and told him politics belongs in Thunderdome....
I got a none too mature reply of... "grow up" !
So his political post was deleted.... but his orginal post remained...
When this was explained to him again... after he tried on another "attack" at myself.
All this occured while others were attacking his "quality" of work......
As for madmaxx's comments.... "Id never build a replica for anyone at the prices gordon charges, its not worth the bullsh*t . " So you would charge more then $80 000 for a replica????
For $100000 you'd want gold plating wouldn't you???
We are 100% snafu....
