Fairing woes for goose bike builders

Hi punters, I thought it was time for an update on this topic. Thanks everyone who has e-mailed me regarding these fairings, I hope you have received my reply.

I have attached some pictures of the fairing that will be used for the mould. It has some modifications to be completed on the lower half, I believe this is a Mk III version of the La Parisienne fairing. To the best of my knowledge the top half is a dinkum Mk 1 , ie exactly the same as Goose, Toecutter, Bubba Zanetti.

I have received some advice from Clunk (Bertrand Cadart), who was the guy behind the original La Parisienne fairings. I have sent him these pictures for the purpose of identifying and certifying the authenticity of the fairing upper as a genuine Mk 1 item, and not a later replica. The lower half modification required is very straightforward (ie remove pointy bit and replace with flat section...). There is some minor patching required as ytou can see, before a mould can be taken from the top-half.

I have also attached pictures of the MFP badge and Goose sticker's that I have had made up for these fairings. I have not been able to source any fairing screens at this stage, although work continues on this......

Your patience with this is much appreciated. My workshop was completed over the Xmas holidays, and I expect to knock up the first dummy fairing now within the next month or so. At this stage I have not considered any price, but the indicated price on the Shaggy Dog site at AUS$880 dollars is a reasonable indication...........

The seat section is already available through Airtech Streamlining (US).

cheers

Dave

Thanks a ton for your efforts, Dave!

It is wonderful to know that there are others who have been banging their heads against this problem.

I have hope that those of us who dream of La Parisienne fairings for our bikes will soon be able to have them.

WOOT!
