Hugh Keays Byrne would have to be one of the nicest persons I have ever met, he has an aura that shines brightly.The above posted image was a publicity shot and one of many as all actors do, to draw attention to prospective film makers.


The Toecutter , was only one diverse role this multi talented actor has played, and played to the letter.


I salute Hugh Keays Byrne for playing a first class role as the Toecutter.

Just watched "Blue Fin" also has Hugh in it as a fisherman, about the same time as Mad Max. Got Mad Dog Morgan to watch tonight, he's in that one too along with 5 or 6 other Mad Max people, and this film came out before the first Max.

Hugh Keyes Burne did a childrens show on the ABC in the early 80s....


Anyone remember Secret Valley???? lol


He was always dressed in black.... had a fake mechanical hand which he would oil through a small tube in his black glove....
