HOW DID MAX KNOW HOW TO?

Post by Bronze21 »

I've also heard my dad call the big semi's that haul the tanks and other armor "Drag'n/Dragon Wagons." I'm assuming it's referencing that they have to drag them back to the mates shop to get fixed.

You see the dude sitting on the floor hunched over, looking over Max's knees and under the steering wheel when Wez rips the door off...you see him for at least two seconds.

The MACK should have had a "No Riders" sticker on the other window. That was popular back then (States-side), especially since some MACK's didn't have passenger seats at all, like the two film trucks.

where or when did MAX learn how to drive a bloody truck?

see i could understand Max knowing how to ride a bike, he had Goose as a mate, and i think there's a deleted scene of Max and goose racing, with Max on the bike, goose in the Yellow Interceptor, but a truck? comeon.

max never walked into the Compound and said, "hey man, any of you guys know how to drive a truck? - cause i know where you can get one, how 'bout ya come with me, and i'll show ya where it is, you drive it back" - he just said "you wanna get out of here, you talk to me" - he just knew he could get that truck back, no gear grinding, no stalling, he was a natural, and i hear its tough to learn how to drive a truck, especially a quad box, with so many gears

its rumoured that Mel himself, said "i have trouble reversing my mini, how am i gonna drive that" - so as good as MAX was on the road, it was pretty far fetched when you think about it. - ... but Max is THE ROAD WARRIOR.

Mel could do anything, who else could have great love scenes with Patsy Kensit and Rene Russo, partner up with Danny Glover and Chris Rock while fighting off the likes of Gary Busey(Vernon Wells would've made a much better, more malevolent Mr. Joshua than Busey), Stuart Wilson and Jet Li in that other hit series of movies he did (don't know if we can say the series name on here since this is about Max and not Martin)Image

Thank you Rockatansky 4073. Though i think I may have misunderstood the last part cos I thought I heard MacAfee say to Goose '"Don't be stupid, she was the town pump' during the MFP struggle.' Then again, I thought Johnny The Boy and the suicide jumper from (I'll take my punishment like a man for saying this movie title) "'Lethal Weapon 1" were played by the same actor.

It's an Anywhere term for Slut.

"She's the town bike. Everyone's had a Ride"

Anyway, it sounds like "Pump" or "Pup" in the Dubbed version..

It's "Bike" in the Original version.

the h &l denote the first shifter(splitter),the white and blue main shifter.start with shifter 1 pushed forward(low range)go thru 1-4,pull shifter 1 back(no clutch)which prepares for the shift into high.from here you simply repeat shifting up from 4 to 5(5 being where first gear is)so on and so forth.co-ordinate your revs and double de clutching and its all too easy.max being a driver could have worked this out easily as there would have no doubt been a diagram somewhere in the cab(similar to the one posted by march hare.)

change up @ 2500

change down @1200

sometimes on the downshift you gotta give her a rev back up to 1500 in neutral and when she gets to 1200 slip her in.not hard.take your time and its real simple.they aren't race cars.

so long as the paperwork is clean, you boys can do anything you like out there
