Conclusion: It was an interesting read, but I wonder if this would fit in the continuation of the story. Also I'd like to point out that a police interceptor is hardly an arena fighting vehicle. I'd rather have a big 4x4 with lots of weight behind it. That's what sane people would use anyway. I do agree the BoB deserves a place into the next mad max, but it has to fit in. This comes over as a bit too forced to me. Same goes with the MFP garments. Like I said before, criminal people don't like cops. Even if a cop turns evil, and ends up in jail, once word comes out he/she was a cop, they're toast.[/font]

I think it fair that you post a review of the last Max movie, "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome".

I choose to ignore that part as it suffers from the "movie that should have never happened" syndrome. They limited max's potential. It was entertaining to watch, but that was it.


You want more examples? Robocop 3. Alien Resurrection, Star Wars 1 - 3*. Not to say they weren't interesting to watch, they just don't have it anymore. Once R rated movies loose the R in their sequels they are usually crap. Toned down to make it accessible for a broader audience. To make more money, to give kids the power to whine for Aliens and Robocop toys. Because if they couldn't see it in theaters, they wouldn't ask for it.


I understand why it's done today. It's done because people don't know how to make a good movie for a couple of million. And because movies cost around 100 million, the tickets sold at the box office don't generate profits. The people financing those movies want merchandising to cover their backs.


But does this mean Max 4 is doomed? Not if Miller puts in the effort to make a movie that is geared towards us instead of teens and pre-teens... But he has to comfirm by the rules of the people financing the movie. And if there is a lot of money involved, he will have to comply by their wishes. And I fear...


*The "original Star Wars trilogy" wasn't R rated, but they never had a character like Jar Jar Binks in them... Jar Jar was purposefully created to appeal to the little kids, get them into Star Wars.
