Yeah. I was first clued into MAD MAX in either '83 or '84 on a channel that no longers airs called ONTV, which was a satellite channel that was available before HBO and SHOWTIME in Minnesota. Anyone remeber this channel? I just thought it was pretty cool 'cuz it aired movies uncut and commercial free.

: : Hey Even, do ya have any pics of your Capri?

: Hi Doug,

: I have a few in process shots where the car is totally stripped to the body shell and even some video of a ride in the car. I also have a couple shots of the car (and me hamming it up) when I sold it. Many of the great detail shots were destroyed in the fire that got my MM outfit and about $3500 in sound gear. The car, happily, was outside and not in the garage under the house.

Sorry to hear about the fire, I know how bad that sucks. My step sons father's house was completely gutted last October.

Would still like to see what ya have though and if ya have video of your car doing a burnout I'd love to get a copy to add to my collection. I currently have a 15 minute video of nothing but friends doing burnouts and one small jump over a steep train bridge (only got about 6 inches off the ground but he did total his exhaust)

MM2/The Road Warrior came out (in the US) the summer I got my driver's license. That single factor

alone contributed more to my behind-the-wheel personality than any other, including various law

enforcement entities. At the time, I was really into 70's muscle cars as well, and before I ever saw

MM1, I was thinking of a squad of cops driving the most hopped-up combat/pursuit cars possible.

Then I saw MM1 on video and it was all over. Since then, I've been into it. When I used to DJ the

industrial/techno night at the Nectarine in Ann Arbor, Mad Max or The Road Warrior were my

signature videos that I would play on the projector and monitors. I used to like to start a set with

the scene in MM2 where Humungus issues his offer. Now, I just hope I can do the FX work on MM4

when it comes out...

Doug,

I'm in the process of scanning in my project pictures and should be done soon. My current project is a LT1 powered Mazda Rx7 if you're interested. I'll send them by email when I'm done. As for video, I'm putting in a Pinacle video editing system here at work. When that's done I can pull selected video cuts, create .mpgs and put something worthwhile together. I don't have any exterior burnout shots just some walk arounds and driver point of view burnout and acceleration shots. You can really hear the engine race and see the view shift when the rearend goes sideways!
