OK. I found the topic and I'll put something in it to make it current ...took a while to find it again.
Wow! The collection HAS grown since last year...but the XB is still five colors and in 100 pieces.
MADMAX2050 Where did you get the music box? I found a little shop that carried them Stateside and had to order a few more for Doug. I sent Adrian one as well a while ago along with a rendering of his car, in exchange for an original dual tank gascap.

RWMFP, great site. I love little music box elements (or 'guts' as I call 'em), but I've only got the kind that you wind up, then have to set on some hard surface to hear the melody. You're right, they're probly available most places, and I have to admit I haven't searched extensively, but it's nice to see hand-crank elements exist.
Bronze21, is that little shop called "Music Box Company", or "San Francisco Music Box Company"? That's where I could only get the wind-ups, but that's been quite a few years ago. Does the shop you mention sell the hand-crank kind? If so, would you mind posting the name/website?
And on the dirt thing, we live in California, and were going on our honeymoon to Walt Disney World in Florida (hey Bart!). My wife asked her brother what we could bring back for him, and he says, "Oh, make it something original." So I got a small jar, and when we went on one of Disney's most celebrated water rides, I dipped it in and filled and capped it. When we got back, he was picking us up, and I gave him the jar and told him, "There you have actual water from the Pirates Of The Caribbean ride in Walt Disney World, Orlando Florida." He liked it; knowing him, he froze it, so it hasn't evaporated.
And, oh yeah, getting back to the original poster's topic...

I now have the Mad Max2 book courtesy of XAman. I got the Thunderdome books when it first came out.
A special edition Mad Max2 DVD courtesy of Adrian
I have a signed photo of of Bruce Spence, the photo's of him holding the snake. Got that as a birthday present from my Bro this May just gone.
That's about it mostly I don't collect memorabilia, unless it falls into my lap or is dirt cheap, it can work out to be an expensive hobby. At one comic sci-fi show I went to they were selling several frames of movie celluloid in a display box for silly money. UKP200 or something like that. Needless to say wasn't tempted.
Oh yeah, the last bit of my collection isn't on a shelf but it's the memory a 20 minute ride in a replica V8 Interceptor Special owned and built by Adrian. The last BoB in the UK and now shipped with him down under which leaves the Yellow Falcon owned by Mad Max 2050 all on its loanesome at car shows. That's Low Adrian!
Also got to see Adrians amazing collection. VERY impressive that bunch. Even the dirt was impressive! LOL! But seeing part of the dog killed by Toe-cutters mob in the first film namely the 2 feet of dog intestine preserved in a jar of formaldahide was just a tad sinister. But Adrian seemed to like it.*

LoL!!
I think the facsination with the 'dirt' comes from just wanting something, anything from the locations, especially those from MM1,as there isn't really anything else left you could find as a souvenier, although whilst at the train station in Clunes I did find one of the air vent grilles knocked off and on the floor.......honest! Brad will back me up on that one.....I hope!LoL. I just took plenty of small plastic bags and grabbed a handful of gravel from each location and labled it up,same at Broken Hill although there are plenty of bits and bats still around the compound site,I bagged up scrap metal, burnt bits of tyres and after digging around the compound entrance found pieces of tailamp lenses. One thing I did find at the rollover site after digging a bit is a very small piece of what I think could be from the Mack body, couldn't be 100% but the chances are it is.
