NO2

Post by MFP »

Is it true that NO2 only works in one cylinder? Somebody told me that and it sounds like total bullshit! But it will screw the engine up if you accidently trigger it in while idoling, right?

No N2O does not work in one cylinder. And let me set you strait on NOS. NOS is a brand (owned by holey now). There is a lot of companys that are N2O. Its N2O.

There is wet systems and dry systems. Wet Systems mix N2O with fuel and inject it into the intake manifold. Dry systems Spray N2O (not mixed with fuel)into the mainifolds. Were youre biger Jets or Injectors add the extra fuel to mix with it.

For exe--on a LT1 on a camaro. The Wet Sys. is injected after the Throttle body (air enters there). Right into the Manifold. And from there it goes into each cylinder as fuel and air would. But N2O would acompany the fuel and air. The only problem with this is that It cant be spread evenly over the 8 cylynders. Dry systems are Injected before the Throttle bodys on the LT1's. Therefore not getting the best effect. But after that it works basicaly the same as the Wet sys. Of course there is a whole lot more of info on this stuff....do a search on the web!

The only reason eng,s get destroyed is because of user error. N2O didnt hurt the eng. The user hurts it. He gets gready. And even if the person gets greedy--there are saftey devices that can be used. Such as...fuel shutoff, window switches, gauges, blow off tubes, etc.... Just my .02c

Just like the gun didnt kill em...the person killed em!

Forgot to mention that there is Wide open Throttle switches. It only triggers the N2O when you have the gas at full throttle. But of course you have to hit the activation switch. Just another saftey devise!
