It seems that everyone has sorta given up on Y2K and started to shit their pants over possible terrorist attacks on new year's eve. I don't know about you guys, but i live in a pretty boring place, so i dont have to worry. but any of you out there who live in major cities that are planning on staying there for new years better be ready for just about anything.
Sorry to bring such an uncherry thought right before Christmas but you should always be prepared.
P.S.
All these commercials are saying that the new millenium is this year. That is not true. the new millenium is 2001. i dont feel like explaining myself just trust me on this.
Y2K may not be the only problem on new year's

Yeah, most people know the millenium doesn't start till 2001, but they need an excuse to get drunk regardless. As ar
as terrorist, Yeah, I agree. I think some bad shit is probably going to go down as well. You couldn't pay me to be in Times Square on New Years. In the grim event hundreds o Americans are killed by Bin Laden's hench men, the US will throw that non assasination policy out the window, and sick some Navy Seals on his ass.

Like my topic says--
Its America who bring this upon themselves, terrorists threats and attacks.
One reason is that they try and act like the world police, sticking their noses in other countries business.
Yugoslavia being my prime example, where several of my relotives were injured and one was killed in Belgrade, due to American bombing. Kosovo belongs to the Serbs only, and its part of our history, it doesn't belong to Albanian scum, never did & never will.
Iraq wasn't the US's business either. Bombing them will just piss of those people who are strongly religious and will die for their
beliefs, such as suicide bombings.
Look at Vietnam, it wasn't America's business either. All it was, was nothing more than poor young boys been sent to be sacrificed. And they were forgotten by their country.
This is going off the track, but i'd though i'd mention it after watching Full Metal Jacket and Born On The 4th Of July
Sorry if I offend anyone, but times have changed, this is the 90's and its not the 50's where America was supreme with the A-bomb. Now most countries and even some terrorists groups have the bomb + chemical weapons.

I'm sorry about your relatives in Yugoslavia. And yes, to some extent, I agree with you that the US needs to mind its business more, although sometimes we intervene because we're the only ones who can. Kuwait didn't seem to mind when we repelled Iraq, Taiwan doesn't seem to mind when we keep China rom slaughtering them. S. Korea doesn't seem to mind us dending them. Its a long list. I don't see the logic in terrorist killing people who have nothing to do with their problems. I'm an American, and believe it or not, I've never dropped a bomb on anyone. I remember your previous posts which made a point to belittle the US. You have the right to your own opinion, but you really should know your subject more beore you belittle it. There's more to the US than our crap pop culture which is everywhere. There's also a lot more that what whatever it is your news shows tell you. I have never been to Australia, thus I don't pretend to know much about it.
