Just need a little help

I've been trying to connect to this site ( http://www.Madmaxmovies.com )via Tiscali uk for months

but I just get a DNS error. Tiscali thinks it my PC and its connection settings

but I'm posting this via another ISP so I know they are ok. I know of one other tiscali customer who also can't reach this site !

Has any body else had trouble like this? Can any body help me prove its not my PC?

can you 'ping' the site? From a query I have just done, Mad max movies resolves to ip address 63.99.209.6

try typing:

ping http://www.madmaxmovies.com

...and see if you get replys.

If not, and if you have a windows NT, 2000 or XP machine, click start, run and type the following ...

notepad c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

then add the following line at the bottom of the file...

63.99.209.6 http://www.madmaxmovies.com

...save the file and restart your computer and it will work.

I pinged the address you gave me and that was ok

I pinged http://www.madmaxmovies.com which failed

so I altered the host file as you said and bingo here I am .

fantastic. you helped me out where my ISP couldn't !
