cavalier interceptor model

my australian girlfriend found for me, the 'last of the v-8's in a model shop in sydney. it was on the shelf for a year, and the clerk said it was the last of the last in australia. it is numbered 543/1000. i am having a moral delemma. do i build it? or do i display it as 'un-opened? yes, the box is un opened. still in the plastic shrink-wrap. let me know.

How are your modeling skills? If you can do it justice, I say build it, and display it alongside the pristine box.....Best of both worlds.

Hey actually does anyone remember early this year when i had all my MAD MAX MEMORABILIA pictured up on that post? The idea was for everyone else to post up theirs too, but noone else did... cept a couple of Halloween costume links.

bugger that man, i got a friend who does that, and he seriously misses out on the fun of building a model.

Just ask BRONZE or INTERDICTOR - the worst part of doing a model, is completing it.

If you need to practice on something else first - i'd recommend the AMT ERTL. ALIEN KIT.

It was my first kit and it is so easy its absurd. Basically a click together model kit with very little glueing. and it actually looks good. The only reason i recommend this in particular is cause its very common, you'll definenlty be able ot find it in your local MODEL or COMIC shop, especially living in the STATE's. Plus it actually looks real good when done.

I insist you do the 'CEPTOR your self... only a fan can get it right.

How is the build coming on this project? And, howm accurate are the proportions on the body in relation to the 1:1 car?

Mike, Ive seen both the Cavalier and the Aoshima kits and the Cavalier is a total piece of crap-- The rear quarters are too short, the dash,seats etc are from an XC falcon and the chassis is a flat piece of resin.....

I bought 2 of the Aoshimas instead....
