Anklecranker,

I find your musings on Egyptian pyrimid structure intriguing, and would like to know if you have ever seen a documentary entitled "Stargate"? It is expertly done and raises some serious archeological and theological questions about these ancient people of the Nile.

Any thoughts on the weathering patterns on the Sphinx that obviously point towards water erosion? (damn, i need a spellchecker.)

yeah, of course i was joking. so was docc, dont you think his post sounds so over the top it was meant to be a joke? it does lllustrate a larger point though, that fury road could be influenced by pop culture if miller isnt careful. thats partly why i was against heath ledger in the movie. whether hes a good actor or not, hes a teen idol, and i dont want him anywhere near max. plus, miller might indeed decide to use CGI in fury road, which would not be cool in my opinion unless he is very careful.

Missed this post when I did my *ahem* rather unkind post.Image

I was somewhat grumpy anyway when I posted.

I have, however seen far more "over the top" posts that were entirely NOT jokes. Image

Limitations of TEXT communication, no?

Anyway, I'd hope that Miller would realize that the best chance for success with MMIV-FR is to keep it connected with the first three. Visually, Musically, Sound, Story etc...

no problem x, irony doesnt transfer well to print.

ive met people that actually do think movies are better if they have a bunch of dumb stuff. i have a friend whose a real nice girl but i watched "butch cassidy and the sundance kid" with her and she hated it coz the ending sucked since "everyone died". and i was watching "cool hand luke" while my roommate was in the room, and he later asked if anyone "got with" the chick washing the car, who was in the movie for 2 minutes and her only function was to show how women were teases.

I hate knobs who watch my beloved TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, and complain and laugh at the clothing of all things. JERRY's loud shirt and SALLY's flares.

Rock, You should check out Rob Zombie's flick House of 1000 Corpses, (if you can find a theatre playing it) Definately inspired by Hoopers Classic.

Never have seen the doco, but the movie StarGate made some really impressive connections where Egyptian are worshippers of an alien named Rah.
