Yeah, I read Uncle's comments in the "I love this board" thread that had negative comments on America and I'm a little surprised and offended. I'm not being overly sensitive or anything, just saying that it's a little insulting. I would never say negative remarks about Australia or Italy

The funny thing is if italy or any other country got attacked or needed help ,who would be the first country everybody would ask to help them ? AMERICA !!!!! I still want to go to australia though ,but rest assured im coming back home so i can drive my BoB .

The quote was taken from an American poet's well-famed verse: "Hell is New York with no exit doors" - I read it straight from a DAREDEVIL comic book...

I'm the first one to say ITALY IS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE! There is a global collapse.

I'm just sayin' AMERICA-THE COUNTRY is beautiful, but AMERICA-THE WAY OF LIFE is not that good, in my HUMBLE OPINION. Too much material. Sometimes, american people seem to act in a very unsensitive way. With zero respect for the next one. Sometimes. On the other hand, I pretty like American culture... I just don't "get" the dark side of the American people. Is it a crime?

We Europeans use to laugh at ourself a lot. That's why we evolve, if you set apart human wrackages like BERLUSCONI (Agent Smith from Matrix). You Americans have to learn how to laugh at yourself in order to understand WHAT DOESN'T WORK IN YOUR SOCIETY - which is a little bit flawed, in my humble opinion. Some of you (Americans) use to be "sheeps", and not the mavericks you could have been all the time. You are still driven by a bunch of war-loving criminals. AMERICAN CULTURE is great... it could be even GREATER. So, wake up! I'm your biggest fan. Too bad your society is still so material... cynical ... with zero respect for the next one.

So, men, this is my biggest DISAPPOINTMENT: AMERICAN POP CULTURE IS THE GREATEST ONE - WHY AMERICANS and THEIR SOCIETY USUALLY DON'T STAND UP TO IT IN TERMS OF QUALITY?

THE REAL POWER IS CULTURE (as showed in BEYOND THUNDERDOME) AND NOT $$$$$$$$$$$$$ OR WAR CAPACITY. AMERICA IS SLEEPING. IT COULD HAVE BEEN THE MOTHER LAND, THE LIGHT OF THE NEW CENTURY. IT CAN STILL BECOME IT. WAKE UP!

And I love the American guys of this board! I repeat it! I'm just coming clean with no hypocrisy!

No your writing checks your ASS can't cash,keep a diggin Unky and last i recalled the Mother Land was the former Soviet Union and America is wide awake and i'm sure other Countries as well to you being a "Closet Commie"or just plain idiot in action,just say no more man,everytime you open that asshole under your nose you get your self deeper and deeper into trouble!!

You used to post interesting threads about Thunderdome and its meanings and its greatness. Now your posting nonsensical stuff about America, Gyro and Jebediah being the same guy, and Aunty and Max having an affair.

IN DEFENSED OF UNCLE

i would have to say i agree with uncle, based only on my 20 years born and raised in the USA. i do not really like this country, and i congratualte him on stating the truth. the fact of the matter is is that this country is no more "free" than most industrialized countries, and our obsession with capitalism and sanctimonies attitudes about religion contradict each other every step of the way. this country may have started out fairly well in theory and personal fortitude, but somewhere along the line we f**ked up, and now in addition to many of our citizens being fat and stupid, we are also cowards. if you live here and have any balls at all youd be just as pissed as me when people whine about their stupid childern being attacked by terrorists or crying over the incredibly remote possiblility of getting anthrax in the mail.

my only concern is that people everywehere are as cowardly and self absorbed and superficial as US citizens tend to be, and i hope they are not because i sure as hell dont want to live here the rest of my life.

and pop culture? america is certainly not solely to blame for its continued prescence since other countries have to like it in order for it to stay around, but we are the root of the problem for sure.

as for guns, yeah i like them too and i think they are useful, but id be more than willing to give them and modified cars up for a breath of fresh air in another country.
