Interdictor, that's a good guess but it's not from The Rock.

The stars from the quoted film were a multiple Oscar winner and a SNL alumnus:

" Ladies and gentlemen, the story you are about to see is true. The names have been changed to protect the innocent. For instance, George Baker is now called Sylvia Wyss."

Well, it looks like nobody has guessed the film I quoted. I didn't think it was too hard but I could be wrong. Oh well. The movie I was quoting was Dragnet(1987) with Tom Hanks and Dan Aykroyd. It's not the greatest thing ever to come out of Hollywood, but it's got some really funny moments.

Hi Mustang Max,

I think your first quote might be from A Bridge Too Far. I'm not positive on that one though.

The second is definitely from Dog Soldiers. That's a fun one, especially the first time you watch it. For all you other Yanks out there, it was a theatrical film in the UK so don't settle for the chopped up version on the Sci-Fi Channel. With a little looking you can find it on tape or DVD uncut.
