The link below is about a local Sheriff and his Spider Car.

It is a 1995 Impala SS that was originally a courtesy car for Richard Childeress Racing, Yes the same people Dale Earnhardt worked for. RCR heavily modified the engine. Sheriff Hege had the car equipped with a long roster of go-fast mods. The most interesting are perhaps the two added NOS tanks placed in the trunk AKA MadMax Interceptor.

This Sheriff is hell in crim,e but has fallen prey to political radicals who want him removed at any cost or lie. I'll search for some photos. Thought you might find it interesting.

More....He's billed as the toughest Sheriff in America. Even had his own reality TV show.

Ankle: He's in your part of the country--ever have any contact with him? BTW, I visited the site, and invited him to join the club here. We can get the views of an actual bronze...

I've seen him many times. His entire force is known as TEAM 101. They dress in battle fatigues like the Army's Special Forces. Crime was down 37% during his time in office.

That car is awesome. 172 mph? Twin Nitrous bottles in the trunk? I bought an Impala SS new in 1994. It was fast right out of the box. I can imagine what it would be like this RCR engine work and nitrous.

Hey Anklecranker.

I never found a picture of the actual car on those links. Is there one?

Yeah, bottom right of the page click next. Keep clicking next...eventually (like 10 pages later) are pics of the car. Nothing really special to see, some decals and white rims. More or less like any other Impala. (visually, anyway) Sure wouldn't want to be running away from it though. :)
