Well, I'd say she then left her purse in the car while she was down at the beach. When they put the axe through the grill, they probably had a little peek-a-boo inside.

I always thought they put the axe in the grill after the beach, like right before they started hiding near that barn or whatever. Max was near the car basically the whole time while Jesse was at the beach. I figured they did it while Max was running near the woods to find out what was going on and Jesse was inside.


But either way, you're absolutely right, Crate. Good thinking.

Yes, I do believe it was a piece of the fence they ran through that got stuck in the grill...not an axe.





You know...





If they had a brush guard for protection from road side hazards...that proably wouldn't have happened and they would've possibly made it for a little while longer.
