Problems with Max and Necessary Changes
Problems with Max and Necessary Changes
Like I've said, I've seen the road warrior, and I have some ideas for the new movie. First of all, I didn't like how max always drove those beat up cars, I think it would be cool if he had a slicker ride for the next movie. If you all saw the Fast and the Furious you understand the attractiveness of something like a 2003 Civic Si hatchback with NOS and maybe some big rims that Max scavenged somewhere. That car would be familiar enough to relate to and yet fast and crazy enough to still be looked up to.

Also, the music in the Road Warrior was completely unmemorable. It was kind of dumb because they didn't have any cool songs. I really like Limp Bizkit, and I think that the song "faith" would be perfect for the next film as would the song "Cowboy" by Kid Rock since when you think about it, the lyrics kinda describe Max's life.

Plus, it gets kind of boring following max around by himself so I think a good sidekick is in order. Someone like Chris Rock or Chris Tucker (anyone who's seen him in Rush Hour knows how effective he is) would be a good foil for Max's straight man. Max, himself, can be a little dull at times and the sidekick would add a little relief to help keep the audience's interest.

I also really think that it's time Max get a love interest. I'm thinking someone really hot like Jessica Biel or that chick from Dark Angel.

Whatever happens though, at least we're guaranteed that the action will be better in this next movie because of all the computer advancements people have made in the past few years. The stunt scenes should be wild.

Docc, i have to say i agree wholeheartedly. you really seem to sum up all the flaws in the series very well. are you sure its wise to post them here though??? some enterprising movie executive is lible to snatch these nuggets right out from under your nose and turn fury road into the next blockbuster of the summer.
in the spirit of docc's post, i have my own question i want to pose: do you all think that given the tremendous advances in psychology over the past 2 decades that max could learn in fury road to solve his problems non-violently? just think of the progress that could have been made in road warrior if the humungus and max had used a peer mediator to solve their differences, things might have turned out very different indeed!

You know, ............................................no, sorry. I just can't.
Yes I can. The attractiveness of a Civic!?!? The attractiveness of my sphincter. Max wouldn't bury his dog in a Honda. I sincerely hope you were just joking. Most anyone on here will tell you that I rarely have anything negetive to say about someones post, but I allmost choked when I read that. Nothing made in Asia would last an hour after the apocalypse. Get some taste. Even a little will be a start. And you'd seriously replace Brian May's unbeliveable soundtrack with limp bizket? WHAT? How about Brittney Spears? Oh, no, even better, The Olsen Twins. Yeah! they should have scored it! Max is boring? what are you doing here?
There. Now I can be nice for another year.

welcome aboard Docc, that is one cool post.

No CGI stuff will ever approach the real-time style of the first. It still gets the hairs on the back of my neck standing - CGI yawn belch fart zzzzzzz

The Fast and the Furious was AWFUL and represented everything that is wrong with brainless Hollywood action movies today. And Docc wants more of the same.

The silly CGI through the engine thing they had in Fast and the Furious could be cool though. Follow the air into the blower down into the engine and out through the exhaust. But apart from that Miller has to aviod CGI in the off chance it comes out phony, as it has in many movies. As for a honda civic... how about no. Unless some crazy Japanese gangs are taking over the wasteland in their souped up post apocalyptic dream machines.... which seems a little out of place.
As for a chick go for Jennifer Garner since she's hot and umm she, can, act.. yes that's right.

Fistly TOWNSEND, i thought you were one of US. there isn't a thing wrong with those first two MAD MAX movies, not a f**kin thing.
INTERDICTOR - mate, your restraint impress' me, wish i could be more diplomatic like you, but sorry, noway not for me, i'm gonna second your post.
TYCHO, i've said it before, you da man, you got it in one.
As for your comment on crazy japanese gangs taking over the wasteland... Anyone seen CIRCUITRY MAN ? VERNON WELLS once again is a psycho in the wastelands, cept this time he's pretty much half cyborg, and psycho japs everywhere.
I'm too angry to reply anymore, i'm constantly arguing with people about the new 'hollywood sellout' ways, just check out some of the posts on the FURY ROAD SECTION. and frankly i'm bored, with arguing with anyone on the side of the money making sell outs.
