And don,t forget that there was a huge *slave setting* in waterworld but it got destroyed because of a storm or something, this also cost a lot of money to make and the storm destroyed it all.I am a big fan of Waterworld even if it isn,t the most original story,i like it anyway...

Desert or Highway
Desert or Highway? Both.
Why do we all presume that there is no more oilin MM's world? The original story/script of MM2 started with Pappagallo as the CEO of SevenSisters Petroleum. He saw the pending demise of civilization. He gathered his plans, maps and geological studies and set out for The Compound area.
If he did this, so could others. Future oil in MM's world is probable and plausible. Methane was a good tangent and it provided an interesting twist. For any two lane backtop to be called Fury Road, bore for oil.

Posted by Mad Max RW: "Most of the stunts they did in Road Warrior cannot be done today because of these things called laws. So I can see where computers are needed. Gone in 60 Seconds had some decent stunts and chases, but none of them were real."
The stunts in Gone only look passable if you have never seen the 1974 original. there is absolutly no comparison between the stunts performed in the two movies, The original leaves you wondering "how in the hell did they do all that? and with ONE car!?" the remake left me wondering: "why did I spend $7 for the worst chase scene I've seen in years?" the CGI was terrible, I expected to see Jar-Jar Binks driving the 'stang. Ronin got it right. Real cars, real crashes. Remember the scene where DeNiro fires the rocket at the car? When it explodes and flips onto it's lid at 60mph, there is a stuntman IN THE CAR! Driving it! Don't tell me you can't do great stunts without a computer. That's just lazy directing. Use a computer for the landscapes, the dessicated cities. Use stuntmen in cars for the chases.
