Toy Lines
Just in case whoever gets the master toy license happens to stop by, I'd like to give some suggestions for what we'd like to see.
First, I want a job as a designer or prototype/pattern maker. All in favor, say aye!!!
Now, for the ideas.
Gotta have action figures. Realistic, as in Star Trek or McFarlane, not some steroid enhanced superhero crap. In 8" and 12" size.
Vehicles. In scale for the action figures, preferably. Also Hot Wheels scale or MicroMachines...
Playsets. Operating features, figures and vehicles.
Racing / vehicular combat sets a la Hotwheels or slotcar tracks.
RC cars.
Classic Max lines from MM1, MM2 and (I guess) Thunderdome. If the license covers the other movies...
Anybody else?
Mitch
Probably won't see any weapons, in this age of PC, but one can hope...

Someone help me, as an adult I havn't had any interest in toys for almost 20 years now. I have never been exposed to the adult interest in toys, I'm sure I am missing something. Ilove the mad max movies and watch them on a regular basis, i enjoy peoples pinions on the movies, and ideas for plot lines, chareecters thinkings, ect. Perhapse its my dislike in things too fantasy (some of Thunderdome) someone explain the interest. Do you guys play with them or just let them sit in boxes, on mantels what. HELP ME UNDERSTAND.
THANKS

I'd still love to see a radio controlled black on black in a decent scale, maybe even with a scale V8 gas engine like the one Edelbrock made some years ago.
And a real cool feature would be a 2speed transmission that switched on the blower drive when it shifted into top gear! ...and functional zoomies!
Am I getting too carried away here???

Yes indeed, us toy collectors are quite an insane bunch.
Tyhe wife bought me several of the N2 Toys Road Warrior figures for Christmas.
Now, being the (near) Completist collector that I am, I must get the rest.
The Hot Wheels collector comment reminded me of an incident.
I was hunting Hot Wheels treasure Hunt cars for a while, for sale at a modest 150% profit to a co worker.
At K-Mart one day, with a stack of ten cars on one arm, I picked up a particularly difficult to find new Treasure Hunt car with the other.
Another collector walks up behind me, looks over my shoulder, and says something to the effect of "Ooh!" and snatches the car from my hand and dissapears.

(Triple shock)
I'd have been annoyed and perhaps done something about it, but I really found it too amusing to be bothered.

Interesting, the stuff from my chilhood Star Wars etc, was chicy. After posting my last reply, i looked at a website for toys, and man they were far superior to anything I ever had, and I did want to be that only child on the corner with every single toy as soon as it came out. The AT AT, GI Joe aircraft carrier, Castle grayskull, man I wanted to knock that kid through a winedow.

No no no i wanna see figures like Gijoe, those action figures ruled.Because if they make them that size they wont be 2 expensive and you can buy a whole army of little Madmaxes!

I would hope that at least the action figure line would be produced. A movie hasn't arrived until it has been properly exploited for merchandising possibilities. I'm waiting for "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" cookbook...
Anyway, I forgot pedal cars. I would kill for an Interceptor kiddie car.
What other off-the-wall items can we think up?
Oh yeah, I wanted to bring this up since we're all pretty hard core fans, from different countries. Using the Snoopy collector network as an example, we can trade items not available in our home countries. For instance, the McDonald Snoopy toys from Australia are quite collectible over here, and Japanese stuff is highly sought after, no matter what the license is.
So I propose that we gear ourselves up to purchase extra merchandise for trade uses. Pick a trade buddy form a foreign land, or we could set up a forum for buy/sell/trade. Beats having to go to ebay and deal with cutthroat dealers who are more interested in profit than like-minded fans... Bartertown, anyone?
