I would watch it again at the cinema though, it's been a while. I hope they remaster it and re-release it in UHD again when Furiosa will come out later this year on home video.
Haha. Thank you, that's nice.
Even though I own a Blu-ray of Fury Road I never watched it on TV or a "small" screen. Wasn't necessary.
To my surprise there's always a showing of it here and there in my country. Germans are giant car buffs and we love "our" Mad Max
Yeah, I think Miller films belong to the big screen too.
I don't remember how many times I saw those at the time in 35mm, Mad Max 3 I went back again and again in 70mm even though I was a bit disappointed at the times by the film not being hard R.
The whole advertising campaign has been all over the place. There was nothing a few months ago which gave the impression WB were writing off the film but now a few weeks beforehand we have a stream of talk shows, vehicles on the streets of Hollywood, posters everywhere and even other directors coming out and praising it. I'm worried the massive marketing budget is going to make it impossible for the film to generate a profit. Maybe they are looking at it like Dune Pt 2 and are pushing it for a similar result.
2 weeks to go. I don't care if the film is a CGI fest, I'm just delighted to be back in Miller's world.
The most crucial part to its succes lies one week ahead, on May 15th, when Furiosa will 'premiere' at the filmfestival in Cannes.
Many journalists and movie critics will be there, lets hope their reactions will be positive too. I believe the review embargo also lifts next week.
