Railway bridge in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome?

Post by petrochemical »

Hello,

I'm a civil engineer from Spain.

I'm working in a personal project about filming locations (just structures as bridges, dams, etc...) and now I'm involved in "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" movie.

I need to know how is called and where is exactly located the railway bridge that appeared in the movie
Maybe someone in this forumImage could help me to identify the bridge. I'd appreciate so much your help.

Please, find attached the captured frame showing the bridge.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Thanks to a fellow forum member, Seriz, It seems that we have identified where this bridge is.

It looks to be north of Manguri train station.

Thank you for answering, Taipan.

After viewing the satellite image of the location, I am not sure about this. It seems to be a very small bridge, but it is difficult to determinate with such a low and distant image definition.

I always wondered what was the height of the bridge, and how Ironbar Bassey survived the fall.
