Ford 100th Anniversary

Post by Mad Maxwell »

Hey Everyone,

Got some really cool stuff brewing next June. Ford celebrates it's 100th anniversary in Dearborn MI, USA and nearly every Falcon owner in the US and even some from AU are coming.

If you ever wanted to see the largest gathering of AU Falcons and MM replica's in the history of the US, this is it. Ford AU is even planning to bring some of it's latest hardware and a few of our own lucky guys (Rod Horner, Jeff Green) will take the wheel and lead the Falcons on a "power tour" from Toledo, Ohio to Dearborn.

If you're a Falcon fan and miss this, you'll be kicking yourself for the rest of your lives! That means you Interdictor...

Mark your calanders for June 12 next year. More details can be found at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/australianfordfalconclub

Um, I think I'm gonna have a raffle. Three bucks a ticket to win a chance to drive my Falcon to the fast food drive thru of their choice up in Dearborn. I've gotta raise money to get it restored to dependable condition by June. Maybe a bake sale...

I'll be there with the Falcon even if I have to pull it myself.

Just got the car yesterday. Forget the bake sale, forget the raffle. I'm gonna need a government grant.

No worries. In the immortal words of Gunny Highway, I will 'Improvise, Adapt and Overcome'...

Anyone planning on attending the Ford Show?

"So I was at the Ford show, and these people were dressed like Road Warrior characters, and then these cars started circling, and the noises and yelling... Something about 'just walk away' and funnel cakes... Not fit for man or beast, I said, so me and the wife left."

-The Dearborn Gazette

As a bribe for all the Mad Max fans on this site, I will make up some Mad Max/Road Warrior/Falcon/Ford100th Anniv. themed bumper stickers to be given out free to anybody who shows. Non-U.S. fans will be forgiven for not making the commute, and can request theirs w/a S.A.S.E. after the show.

Now you gotta go.

It's marked, the tickets are bought, and the hotel room is booked. Now I gotta see if Ford will let my raggedy a$$ car in... What's the count of people from this board attending?
