How does Humungus get so buffed when there should be no food left out there.

Well, since he is the leader, it stands to reason he gets to have

the most food. For all we know, they could be cannibals, although I doubt it.

I think that the whole gang in MM2 are escaped inmates who stole some cars after everthing went to shit. If the prisons in MM are anything like the ones now, its no wonder he is buff.
