I absolutely LOVE Mad Max and having said that, I read somewhere a long time ago that they wanted to turn M.M. into a television series and that got me thinking:
How would I do a Mad Max television series and how would I do it right?
First things first, I would probably do something similar to what was done with Hannibal or From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and return to the original, expanding upon the characters and plot.
My plan for it:
1: Mad Max
2: interlude leading to--
3: Road Warrior
4: Interlude leading to--
5: Beyond Thunderdome
6. Interlude leading to--
7: Fury Road
Now I know, this is ambitious, especially with the inclusion of a season including Fury Road, but this is just an idea of mine that I think could work. I chose the first four since I thought with their inclusion, we could easily create something new while not deviating too far from the path, which is the situation with From Dusk Till Dawn.
Casting (at least in my head) for Max
Hugh Dancy as Max (why? I liked his work on Hannibal and I think he would make for an interesting Max)
Leave comments on what you think of my idea. I can't please everyone y'know.

I think Lincoln Lewis could be a potential future Max. Plus he's an Aussie.

that I can get behind.

Okay, So I decided to change my position and make Lincoln Lewis the new Max. with that, I will gladly describe the characters appearing throughout the (potential) series:
Wordburger, the pseudo-narrator. The teller of the stories. A History Man. (in each season, the Wordburger will greet and continue with the legend of Max). I see him as an elderly male being with random places, names, dates, and events tattooed across his body randomly.
"Mad" Max Rockatansky, the protagonist. Nicknamed "Mad" Max due to the choices he has made. In Season One, he is slowly going mad, with the "Nightrider" incident he feels guilty and with the coming doom in the form of Toecutter's gang, he grows more protective of his family, which will end badly...
Seasons Two onward, he is a sufferer of PTSD, he feels the need to distance from humanity, causing him to "see" his family.
The setting, in One, is during the fall, which heralds for the destruction of humanity into the wasteland we all know and love. We will see old villains (Toecutter, Immortan Joe, etc.) mixed with new ones (ones I still am creating in my head.)

while in an absence and working on other projects, I recently bought the video game of MAD MAX and it conjured up a better story and I would love to share a script once finished
Re: Potential Idea I have for Max...
Yeah, I've been rattling on about how good a Mad Max tv series would be for some time now. However, I was thinking more of a MFP TV series. I've actually got a pilot I'm working on based on this concept but it's moved quite a bit away from Mad Max lore now.
