I picked up an Italian import as its still not got a release date in the UK.
Although it has the black and chrome version (looks fantastic.... Intro from George is only seconds long though which is disappointing) it is missing both the new Fury Road documentary AND the mad max 2 one.
Essentially it is exactly the same release as the previous anthology (Blu-rays even have same trailers) but with the additional black and chrome disc. Really shoddy stuff.
From what I can see there are three versions of High Octane.
6 disc - this one (can be had for £30)
7 disc - adds mad max 2 extras disc (£50)
8 disc - adds 4k FR and making of (£70+)
Unless anyone knows different.
Really pissed off about this. Happy to get the black and chrome but I was really excited to see MM2 doc.
Losing the faith here. :(

Thats odd. So is it region exclusive what gets the 7th and 8th discs?

I've ordered anyway since I only got a blu-ray player recently and don't have all the FR bonus stuff. It looks like I'm only getting the 6 disc version.

There is going to be another version out next year anyway with the silent Black & Chrome cut and maybe the extras they cut out since a Thunderdome making of was originally listed on Amazon Germany. WB just being greedy and pushing it out unfinished for the holidays. Its crazy there is still no audio commentary for Fury Road.

I think the 7 and 8 discs are US only and the European/Australia versions are stripped down (missing the 4k version and the extra making of disc).
The 6 disk is MM 1-4 regular blurays, the madness of Max previously released DVD and the black and chrome disc.
It's cheaper but it's real shame.
Be good to hear feedback/reviews on the two new docs... Are they any good?

This is all I could find so far.

"I enjoyed both of the documentaries tremendously, especially after waiting for so long for proper special features for both films"

" Glad to finally have a copy of the Madness of Max documentary. However, I am pretty disappointed with the quality of the video. I knew it wasn't going to be the best since it's on a DVD, but all the interview footage looks like it was shot on a Nokia cel phone."

"I bought the Australian set today, the 'Road War' doc runs for just under 49 minutes. I expected something a bit more substantial considering the 2.5-hour 'Madness of Max' doc, but beggars can't be choosers."

Has anyone else noticed that the night scenes in Black and Chrome have a faint purple hint to them. Very different from the day images which are pure monochrome.

Enjoy!!
Be great to have a comprehensive review on the MM2 doc. Is it it just the chase continues featurette with a few extra talking heads or is it more vintage rare stuff.
Absolutely gutted my version doesn't have this . Glad yours does!

The MM2 Road War Documentary is great. A little short since its only 49 mins long but I found it fascinating watching all the old footage of the sets and the modern interviews with the cast & crew. It also clears up a few myths about Road Warrior and answers a lot of questions people have asked over the years.
