Beyond Thunderdome Andamooka Aka Bigfoot.

New to the forum. Been fascinated with the vehicles from all 4 movies. I was upset to read all the vehicles from Thunderdome were destroyed YEARS AFTER BEING IN STORAGE! Granted it's the least favorite movie of the series by many,but the vehicles were really neat. I read here that Andamooka (Bigfoot)survived and there is even pictures from years past of it sitting somewhere in Australia. Is it still around today? Did any others survive that I don't know of here in the US?Love this forum!

All vehicles from MMBT were destroyed except for the Andamooka Buggy. They were ground into fist-sized chunks I believe in 1994. Not sure how the Andamooka Buggy escaped that fate but it's been indeed on display for a few years, then someone here on the forum provided pictures of it in storage in 2007. Since then the car seems to be doing fine and was displayed just recently at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide. I'm pretty sure after all those years it's not going to be destroyed, it's a tough cookie it seems.

Interestingly enough in the pictures showing cars prior to being destroyed in 1994 I haven't seen Max's Camel Wagon. Here's to hoping that one somehow survived but chances are slim to none. In fact I'm pretty sure it went into the crusher along with the rest.

Keep an eye on that wiki though because we're about to massively expand the vehicle section to make it complete, that includes all vehicles from MMBT.

That is really cool that it was saved,still functional, and still shown periodically. I always thought Max's truck was neat like a supercharged stagecoach ,and a shame it wasn't saved.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Max's truck too, it shows what little of the old world is left by the time of MMBT.
