My dogs of war, my apologies for the lack of posting lately.. here's a couple updates.
Been busy with work, but I got around to finishing the rear support braces for the 'cage'. *May I just reiterate that this is not a legit rollbar, and that I have no intentions of racing. FWIW, it's bolted to factory supports in the floor cross-member and upper seat belt mounts. It's not going anywhere (won't budge a hair), yet fully removable with a couple 1/2" sockets.
Those seats really have to go. The search for a pair of used/inexpensive adjustable-back buckets continues... and I desperately need to I can fab up a center console/cup holders, too.
Shortly after this was completed I shifted my attention back to the rear shelf.
And I sprayed the fabric sunroof slider and the driver's side sun-visor black with a can of Rustoleum fabric and vinyl spray paint. I haven't gotten around to the passenger side yet.
I still need to finish off the front bash bar. Haven't figured out how I want to style the lower portion of the bumper.
Here's a mock-up of the lower portion and the approximate size of the oil cooler I'll be installing inside.
I'm waiting on the arrival of a new cross member support (front and rear) and a few other parts so I can tear out the terribly worn suspension and replace all the bushings and, of course, hardware. I think I'm going to have to buy a new torch for this job... those old bushings and seized bolts are not going to be fun.
Come on, guys, don't be shy! I'm seeing 200+ views on these pics, but very few replies. Don't be afraid to leave harsh commentary if you wish, I take it in stride. Don't think I haven't been receiving both positive and flaming hate comments on the Infiniti forum. Thanks!

And one for fun, which my friends appropriately dubbed "Immortan Jon". Taken while I was spraying the sunroof visor in the car.
Obviously taken before I fabricated the rear shelf.
