I still don't see what's the "big deal" about Val's death:
We can pretend there were many similar trucks and replicas.
We can also pretend we don't see the poles because they were "out of the camera", turning around in circle.

Re: Valkyrie's death - 30 seconds of continuity free-for-all
Now: after hitting the ground, Valkyrie rolls towards Maad to avoid being run over by an early-70s Ford pickup, charging directly at the camera. However, when the camera cuts to the side, the vehicle that roars past them is clearly not the same Ford truck; it has a narrow nose and rounded front fenders, in the style of a 1930s or 1940s vehicle.
Then, after the truck passes by, the camera goes back to a head-on view of the attacking vehicles that have not yet driven past Valkyrie and Maad, and one of these vehicles is the Ford truck.
SOLUTION:
Just digitally remove the truck '70 from the background. It can be done in the future to come.
Just assume the shot of the truck '70 approaching was "random" and unrelated. Just one vehicle in the armada.
Just assume the truck '30 roamed over the girls, then the truck '70 too.
Finish.

Re: Valkyrie's death - 30 seconds of continuity free-for-all
Here's a breakdown of the editing in this sequence...
The first vehicles in the armada are Caltrop #6 (the "Razor Cola" XB), and four of the five Claw Cars.
The Valkyrie injures the driver of Claw Car #2 (the Cuda) with a thunderstick. His gunner then knocks Maddy and the Valkyrie off their bike with a homemade flail.
Then, we see Buggy #1 (the "Tyre Medic" F-100) and Caltrop #1 (the Dodge Charger) bearing down on Maddy and the Valkyrie. Behind that we see some of the polecat vehicles without poles.
Then, in a side-on shot, Buggy #1 changes to Firecar #1 (the Dodge) as the Valkyrie rolls to the side.
Then, we see a wider shot with Buggy #1, Firecar #1, Caltrop #5 (the Caddy), and the polecat vehicles (still without poles) passing around them.
Then we see a reaction shot of the Valkyrie firing her rifle.
Then, we see Buggy #1 passing a third time, as well as the Gigahorse, Firecar #2 (the "Prince Valiant" Charger) and Firecar #1 again.
Then we see Buggy #7 (the Austin A70), the Gigahorse and Firecar #2 pass over the Valkyrie as she drops to the ground.
Then we see the Valkyrie shooting at the rear of the Gigahorse, trailed by a polecat vehicle and Buggy #1 again.
Then we see over the Valkyrie's shoulder as Buggy #9 (the Perentti), the People Eater's Fuel Truck and Polecat #7 (the Buick) swerve towards her.
Then we see the Fuel Truck, along with Firecar #2 again, and Claw Car #5 (the Jeep) as the Fuel Truck runs over the Valkyrie and Maddy.

Re: Valkyrie's death - 30 seconds of continuity free-for-all
I can easily assume there are IDENTICAL models in the armada. Who cares.
The only sequence which bugs me is:
Then, we see Buggy #1 passing a third time, as well as the Gigahorse, Firecar #2 (the "Print Valiant" Charger) and Firecar #1 again.
Then we see Buggy #7 (the Austin A70), the Gigahorse and Firecar #2 pass over the Valkyrie as she drops to the ground.
Could you articulate that more?

Not sure what you mean -- those are the cars visible in those respective shots

Did you mean the Gigahorse passed on the same trait (Where Valkyrie was) TWICE, which would be a big continuity error?
Or did they just showed the GIgahorse with continuity in that sequence?

The Gigahorse doesn't have any continuity errors; when you first see it, it is in the background, then it is in the foreground when it passes over the Valkyrie and Maddy. The cars around it, however, have a few errors.

Good. I was just interested in knowing about the Gigahorse, since it's the most recognizable.tehCal wrote:The Gigahorse doesn't have any continuity errors; when you first see it, it is in the background, then it is in the foreground when it passes over the Valkyrie and Maddy. We can just pretend - for the other vehicles - that there are replicas in the armada.
About this:
Could we just pretend the first shot is "unrelated" to the second shot? Buggy 1 was never supposed to bear down Maddy and Val???Then, we see Buggy #1 (the "Tyre Medic" F-100) and Caltrop #1 (the Dodge Charger) bearing down on Maddy and the Valkyrie. Behind that we see some of the polecat vehicles without poles.
