I would just like to invite any board member who thinks that it is Ok to be outright disrespectful , name calling or otherwise , to please open my eye's to what they perceive to be the purpose of discussion forums . I feel obviously my expectations are way too high, but I thought it was for like minded people to discuss subjects in common....not to ridicule , reduce or rip-off the opinions of others . I have been a member here for over 5 years and I have watched a steady decline from interesting discussion to out and out shit slinging which has seen many of the voices of reason leave in disgust .Why not leave yourself ? you may ask...well why should I ? I have tried to add to the forum in a positive way and won't be pushed out by soapboxing reaction-ists . I feel this shift is through no fault of the administration or moderators who have to work within really broad guide lines and the majority of contributors are decent people with a movie in common , but there is definitely an ugly element that seems to have found its voice as they teeter around the fringe of forum rules .I understand that some people seem to keep coming back to subject that are unpopular , which can be frustrating . But frustration is not an excuse for abusive ,ranting crap that we should all be beyond ( given the average age demographic of Mad Max fans in general ) .
As the old saying goes "opinions are like arseholes....everyone's got one , and everyone thinks theirs stinks less than everyone else's "

Are you referring to the spat with Turbofurball? The same Turbofurball who appeared on this forum around the time of Fury Road's release to lecture members who have been here for over a decade about how sexist they are and should be ashamed of their gender? This person in question came here and fired first, using the very same SJW language such as being "triggered" which painted a big target on themselves for mocking. Look up Turbofurball on reddit for an eye opening experience. I dare you. Will you see the bullshit for what it is then? Will you happily eat it up or call it out for the abundance of sexist hate-filled ignorance that spreads forum to forum? Trying to stay neutral is cowardly and impossible. You either condone bullying and trolling behind the twisted mask of fake social justice or you expose it and cast it out. Or maybe you're too stupid to see what's going on. If that's the case I suggest you do a little research before jumping into an argument. SJWs are so completely outgunned here.

Mahenoguy - yeah you're right, this should be a place to share constructive stuff and I've got frustrated before - for many many years I would lurk here and it seemed dead, but there's more activity these days and it would be good to keep that momentum going through being positive

I haven't really weighed in on the feminist/misogynist divide , but you have already decided I'm some sort of fence sitter...or imposter , and I have re read my previous posts and nothing really screams "stupid "so I just don't understand why you have to ask questions in this way . You are indeed correct in your original post, mahenoguy.

Some very good points have been made on each side of the recent feminist debate, but sadly a lot of it has been undermined with some quite shocking personal attacks.

It would be great if these differences could be put to one side and we could move forward positively.
