Night stick / police baton for MFP uniform

Just wanted to make a long overdue update to this thread to attach a picture of my finished MFP night stick. The handle still isn't screen accurate, but I've fixed the other problems. The string on the handle was replaced by a leather thong and I cut the length of the baton down to about 19 inches. This seemed about right to me. It now hangs from my hip to my knee, but not below my knee like it used to.
I simply sawed the end off, then rounded it with a power sander, then hit it with a bit of black spray paint.

Hi, I was just curious if anyone knows of any up-to-date sources for appropriate batons? I should have started working on this part of my costume long ago, and now as D*C and then Wasteland Weekend are almost upon us, I'm started to panic... heh...

I was able to locate and buy one last month from a auction house in London buy serching the auction houses online. It cost me Fifteen pounds plus shipping which was another twenty pounds to have it sent to me here in the United States.I was told that this type of nightstick was used by the UK. police till the late seventies.

I found mine online at the-saleroom.com look at lot 652. I did see others and they have the screen correct handle
