Well, the Warner invite to the press screening in London, Leicester Square finally came through today. For bloody 6.30 in the evening on the 13th!!!! That wouldn't be so bad, but I'm seeing it in Liverpool the next morning (the 14th), in full costume, for a photo-shoot!!! And then in Manchester the next day (the 15th). Now, ordinarily, I would rise to the challenge of the travelling around the UK - via train, not Interceptor, sadly - but somehow I just can't justify the added expense of the London trip so soon before the general release.

Especially after all that I've spent on getting the new Hardy incarnation costume together. Had it been the red carpet premier, that would be a different story, obviously.

That bloody press embargo has been a real pain in the ass. A screening only the day before!!!!!

Still, can't wait. Even had trouble sleeping lately, with all the excitement. And I'm 45!!!!!!!

Anyone else going in costume? And if so ... which version of Max will you choose to strut your post-apocalyptic look?

Cheers

Guys, I'm SO excited, I can't believe it's almost here! I live in Minnesota and I'm going to the 7:00 p.m. showing on Thursday night in 3D.

Hi John (Johnny the Boy!)

I wish I could, mate. Honestly. I work for AVforums as a reviewer, so the invite was purely for press purposes. I have no doubt that since I jibbed the opportunity somebody else from the site has since snapped it up. But it is still ME doing the review and all the Maxian coverage to go alongside it - the score, the merchandise and a HUGE big article of the whole Fury Road phenomenon! Waited 30 long, blighted years in the Wasteland for this. The wife and kids have despaired of me playing the soundtracks to the first three films over and over, the films over and over and all the trailers, interviews and clips and B roll footage over and over. And parading about in full leathers and clanking leg-brace! But who cares????

MAX IS BACK! AT LAST.

Cheers mate.

Oh, loved the BBFC insight regarding the language! HA. Thunderdome may have been a 15, but times have changed. That was tame (awesome, but still very tame). Fury Road promises some startling brutality and violence. Bring it on, I say!!!!

Thanks for the response MadMac12

I thought that would be the case but no harm in asking :)

I've pretty much accepted that i'm no gonna find an advance pre-screening in 2D. I'll still be checking everywhere several times a day though! Enjoy your Thursday/Friday. Maybe there needs to be a non-spoiler first showings thread complete with photos?

Thursday 14th at 10:30 AM. Got five sessions lined up for that, (lovely), day. Think a couple are in that 50+ year old technology they call 3D...

Any fellow Queenslanders living in Toowoomba - I will be the one in the shirt with Max and Dog walking down the road. I will also have my blue cattle dog tied up out the front of the cinema, red rag around his neck and all!

Hit me up!

Can't wait, can't wait, CAN'T WAIT!

Sooo happy!
The premiere time down here has been changed from 12.40 to 10.00 am.
Thank christ, cause the pacing leading up to it was gonna kill me.
