Re: Do you love the RAMBO movies?
Not sure I LOVE them, but enjoyed them all; think the first one is the best but omg, how violent is the last one??!!! I don't think I have ever seen such an explicitly gory action movie ever!!! The last 15 mins must have used GALLONS of fake blood. Insane!!!
Re: Do you love the RAMBO movies?
Can't say I love the series, but I definitely like the RAMBO films for sure. Honestly, I was late in watching the RAMBO films for some reason, and didn't really watch any of them until I was well into my 20's. Grew up watching the ROCKY films, so I guess you can say I'm much more of a fan of those due to familiarity and nostalgia.

First movie is great, latest is .50cal porno at it's best. Those two in the middle, after some beers why not but rather watch something else.

What I love about Rambo 3 is the portrayal of the mujahideen, as great righteous freedom fighters, the courageous and honourable warriors fighting the evil Soviets. Things have certainly changed since then. It's like a bit of a lesson on a probably not too well known or perhaps forgotten bit of history, but inside of an 80s action movie.

Every time I watch 3 get the same feeling.TheWarriorMax wrote:What I love about Rambo 3 is the portrayal of the mujahideen, as great righteous freedom fighters, the courageous and honourable warriors fighting the evil Soviets. I like the first 3 Rambo films, like Mad Max though, the first film IS Rambo and all about his character development/fall and is more interesting and intense from that view. I never read First Blood but I don't wonder if the ending of the novel would have better fit the message in the film. But then we couldn't have had Rambo returning to blow dudes up with ridiculous arrows. 2 and 3 are "easy watching", 1 when I'm in a mood for something more serious and tense and 4... meh.
