Have you seen a MAD MAX film in the theater?

For any discussions at all relating to the original trilogy

My dad took me to see Thunderdome at the Drive-in here in Perth, Western Australia when it opened in 85.
Definitely have some nostalgia toward that one.

Holy shit. Do tell. Thumb up or thumb down?
I loved every minute of it.
I'm jealous my friend! :) I would have loved to see FURY ROAD, and George Miller is my favorite filmmaker!

You lucky bastard
Can't wait to see it myself in 10 months.
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

I saw Mad Mad on HBO in 1979 (I was 16). We watched it several times a week for a month because that's how HBO worked in those days. As far as I know it was never originally shown as a feature in the theaters in the U.S.. I saw both Road Warrior and Thunderdome the first night they played I my town.
I have been a Fan of these films for 35 years as well as the whole genre of post apocalyptic films. I am confident Fury Road will be worth the wait even if it isn't the film I would have made.

MM was in the theaters or at least the drive ins. I remember the commercials on tv and I know a couple friends that saw it in the theater.

I saw MM2 on the big screen when it came out here Australia , the movie theatre had just installed this big ass sound system , when the opening monologue faded out to the shot of the Interceptor roaring down the road I remember turning to my mate and saying " F%$K yeh ! " and got blown away by what followed , no shit when we walked out out that theatre every time I heard a V8 go by I would quickly check it out - just in case lol

"Mad Max: Fury Road" will be my first time seeing a 'Mad Max' film in theaters (I CANNOT WAIT!!!) but I don't hold out the possibility of seeing the other three at special showings should the opportunity arise.
