Favorite MAD MAX cinematographer?

Post by henry2 »

All the MAD MAX movies have great cinematography, and it looks like FURY ROAD does too. I honestly can't decide which is my favorite, they're all excellent.

Having not known much about Dean Semler, I've checked his imdb page... Holy mother of :o

So semler, but he did both high budget movies so he gets benefit of better locations, more props etc.

MM1 has some amazing camera work too. Anything car related is awesome in it. And that run through the woods is great. It'just that locations and somewhat slow pace of MM1 distract slightly from the experience.

Fury Road is in league of it's own. Not only compared to other MM movies but to action cinematography in general I think. They're really pushing the boundaries with it.

Dean Semler is a God.

Eggby's work on Mad Max is amazing though. More so when you think of the budget and equipment.

Really, really, REALLY, wanted Deano on Fury Road, but all will be good...

Looks like John Seale has done a remarkable job on FURY ROAD! Miller also used Seale for LORENZO'S OIL btw.
