Did anyone like Prometheus? I felt a bit letdown at cinema (although the first hour was really tense and I still thought the whole film dripped with atmosphere) but it worked pretty good on Blu Ray at home..

Wonder if Fury Road will turn out the same and need time ala Thunderdome or multiple home viewings to really cement? :?:

Oh my god! Prometheus was such a lousy movie.

Why, and I mean why, are the world's best scientists all complaining about the mission? They should have been thrilled to be there. Every one of them was either a complainer or incompetent.

I waked out of that movie so disgusted. But I should have known better. Scott hasn't made a great film in ages.

No-one's going to feel that way about Fury Road, that's the good news.

We're a bit off topic but I hear his new film, Exodus (about Moses) is looking decent

blackmocco, question:

Is Furiosa the main focus in the movie? Or as it's been mentioned in some complaints - Max is just in there for a ride?

And a little spoilery (but not really):
Is Max's character arc similar to the previous movies i.e. about bringing out his 'human' side through the events he's involved in?

Ummm, how do you know that?

Ummm, because Prometheus was shite and Fury Road isn't.

Is there a solid conclusion not unlike the original trilogy (Max pretty much left alone to fend for himself) or a cheesy sequel setup with a cliffhanger ending? I just want to come out at the end feeling satisfied.

Like I said before, it's Furiosa's story, all told. Max joins that story. I had no problem with it. I don't think that's any kind of spoiler seeing as Miller's already talked many times about a potential sequel titled "Furiosa".

Without going into any detail, I would say there's an arc. Whether it's as successful as what we've seen before, I look forward to discussing it in the future with all of you lovely people. In all fairness, there's a lot of work and potential tinkering to be done still to the movie and what I saw sounds like it was quite different than the previous screening and, no doubt, will be different from what we see in May.
