I know the woman behind me hated every second of it. Because she kept saying it really loudly.
That's not good! Without spoilers, what were her general complaints? Acting. Story. Plot. CGI. Implausible action. Or something else?

I don't mean that disparagingly, but the movie clips along right from the opening titles so there's not much attention paid to where characters were before all this, Max included. What is mentioned and alluded to, is different than what we've seen before. Hence, reboot.
Well, that is quite disappointing and as I feared. Lots of CGI and action and no story development if I understand correctly.
I guess you don't understand correctly. Please point out where I said this was a bad thing. I said it was different, is all. Also, I haven't mentioned anything about lack of story development.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I think you're doing a great job protecting us from spoilers but in doing so are necessarily being a bit vague. You didn't say you loved it or hated it, I don't believe. Sounds like you're not sure how you felt about it. I take that as a bad sign, in general. I'm reading, "big beautiful action, great ideas, overwhelming scenery and no back story." I'm not hearing, "I loved it, great story, great characters, compelling movie, etc." Hence my conclusions...

I could give two shits what you take from it. Is that any less vague?

Thanks for answering the questions. Sounds like it's way "out there", but in a good way (to me, anyway). The woman behind you was probably expecting something like a Transformers movie.

I know you can't answer, but I'm curious to know how much was changed from the last test screening, which iirc ran about 2 hours.

Yeah, I'd love to know that too, to be honest.

One man focus group over here, with Leadcounsel. He is a weapons expert, after all.

Also, I'm down for all of this, and it sounds like exactly what I want - I'm just worried about the audience draw of the movie because, after all, I want Miller to keep making more films.

There was applause and then we had to fill out a questionnaire. To be perfectly honest, I couldn't really read the audience afterward. I know the woman behind me hated every second of it. Because she kept saying it really loudly. But in saying that, I can't pretend to know and I won't pretend here. Nobody was going apeshit with excitement but nobody was booing either. I dunno if that helps you or not...
Blackmocco is there any chance you could pm me spoilers, as about how it ends etc would really appreaciate it.
