Haha, yeah I already hate everybody that's going to Comic Con this year :D.

Yeah I assume they will more then the teaser but I doubt we will get of that.

Most of the major movie news sites seem to think teaser isn't too far away, fingers crossed.

I see in the poster that the BOB has the one fuel tank like the one at that charity event , I thought I read somewhere here that it was throw us fans off track and that the BOB would still have its twin tanks as in MM2
It looks more " bush mechanic " than the twin tank setup IMO and I still reckon Miller has done this to clear up any sequel / prequel thoughts from fans

I feel your train of thoughts too.. have a quick butchers at my post on the immortan joe/toecutter thread. I know things change, time moves on, nothing stays the same etc etc but not sold on anything released so far; it looks a Mad Max film in name only and I'm desperate to be wrong!!!!!

It can never be what it was. Let the old movies be what they were, and let this one be what it will be.

Yeah i read your post mate, i feel exactly the same as you, i just can't seem to buy into this whole new max universe.

I understand things change and nothing stays the same, but miller gave us three amazing mad max films that to me stand the test of time, so miller must understand that the hard core fans are going to be worried.

i just pray its not a terminator salvation.

Understanding that Fury Road exists outside of what came before, I still have to say I feel underwhelmed by the poster, hopefully it's a stand in.
With the years of gestation and build up AND the mythology of Max I guess I was expecting to see something epic when the first poster image was released.
It feels a little disposable and arbitrary.
But, many a bad poster has short changed a brilliant film.

Bar the cheesy tag line, I feel the teaser poster is one of the better things I've seen so far. It's very reminiscent of Road Warrior.

With the level of investment at stake, Miller can't afford to pander to us hardcore fans. But in all fairness there seems to be plenty of nods and references to the existing movies.

Personally I'd love to see something more humble and realistic set in the existing universe, but we sadly we no longer live in a world where that kind of movie can make blockbuster opening weekend profits.

Someone made a comment along the lines of too much desert and not enough road, I totally get what they are saying :!:

Yeah, it looks more like a post apocalypse Lord Of The Rings ;) With orcish type characters and much more out & out scifi themes. I guess this is what todays audiences want. Realism is out the door.
The robotic arm looks ridiculous frankly.

I can accept some of this ...but I know one thing, the car chases have to cut it, in terms of scale, violence, novelty. Miller has to outdo the previous films in that sense even if he cannot placate the diehard nostalgics (that's us) with the rebooted universe. Anything less will be an abject failure.
