First Official Look + Images for Mad Max: Fury Road!

Going by the pic, it looks more like a well worn but intricate mesh of robotics than a cobbled together mechanical prosthetic... but it is a slightly different world to the original trilogy.

One of the leads has a bionic arm.

That's what kinda bothers me too, IF that arm is indeed robotic and moves on its own. There's just no way they'd make this kind of advanced contraption in the post-apocalyptic world.
BUT, if that arm is simply a mechanic claw that has to be manually adjusted with the other hand - I'm all in, that makes sense.

Maybe in the Fury Road universe the apocalypse occurred in the 21st century.

It's possible. Especially if you notice some of the cars are quite modern - I believe there's a Skyline in there and a Hummer, kind of hidden away.

Indeed I'm just speculating saying it's a bionic arm, it could be inactive. Although those are usually very different, you wouldn't really want to be manipulating a replica hand, if you know what I mean?

And there's also the possibility it's something pre-apocalypse. There seems to be people with similar devices fitted now. Maybe she's an ex-soldier with a prototype prosthetic.

But I think we may have to get real here. The arm hints at a sci-fi element. And while I appreciate Miller comes from a medical background, he carries little weight against the team of WB execs and their nine figures of funding. If they think bionic arms and live human transfusions will sell tickets they'll get them into the movie.

Which makes me wonder if these modified photos are how the movie is suppose to look. I can't imagine sepia-Hardy appearing in the movie like that, but the clouds, yes. In fact, to maintain continuity, much of the sky will probably be CGI.

Edit: In the un-modified photo of Hardy swinging the weapon, there appears to be a safety line by his knees running horizontally. It's been removed from the modified photo. This not only shows that the modified photos came from WB, but that as a whole it might look like that in the movie.

Just noticed that Nux's chest is branded with what looks like an engine. Is it too much to think those guys are actually treating car culture like their religion?
In the Mad Max game Chumbucket prays to gods of horsepower or something, and that game borrows a lot from the movie too.
