I honestly didn't notice the fender flare. As far as the sunglasses I looked it up and it was noted on IMDB as a continuity flaw.

I was replying to the original list of observations at the very top. After I read it I watched that scene in slow motion a few times and couldn't see the broken flare.

No, he's right. But at that moment the bike is driven by the stunt men. It's not Vernon Wells.
For a very brief moment you can see sunglasses or goggles.

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

There is the shot taken from inside the Landau I think... just as it comes up beside the coupe.
You see the rear flare is cracked (white crack) quite a bit looked like the car was sideswiped.

As for the sunnies I was looking at the scene just as he pulls the arrow out.... went past it too far! oops.

I had definitely noticed the white cracks, but if you look closely those cracks are above the flare.

Don't know if it has been mentioned before, but during the first chase scene, after the supercharger is switched off, the dog jumps in the back of the Interceptor. Their is nothing visible in that scene, however once the scene cuts to the Landau smashing a white reflector post, catching up with Max, the frame cuts back to Dog. Near the dogs feet is the blue police siren the Interceptor had in the first Mad Max on the dashboard (I mentioned the previous dog scene, because for some reason it was not there when the dog first jumped back, but the next frame it is. Perhaps a goof, or an in-joke, don't know) I find it interesting that Max, although didn't feel like he needed it anymore (for obvious reasons it makes sense to take it off.) Yet at the same time, he decided to keep it, or he just couldn't throw it away. It shows that Max still has some form of attachment and in that case nostalgia to once being a cop. I find it a great little touch on the filmmakers part.

I agree...touches like that are really cool...it gives the character more depth.

I just found this thread, but I posted HERE about MFP pants having a single front right pocket.

Yes its "above" the flare, but its the bog cracking where the flare is attached, so its been sideswiped or it just didn't stick to well..
When you look at car later its repaired and has even more dirt on the side of it.
